DIY masks to rescue

We all know ‘beautiful hair is the best revenge’. But with the amount of pollution and UV rays we’re exposed to every day, our own hair seems to be taking a cruel revenge on us. Yes, the very secret ingredient is already in our kitchen. All it takes is a good understanding of your hair and a hair mask that best suits you.

We have listed DIY hair masks that are perfect to tackle all your various hair problems.


  1. Avocado hair mask

This deep conditioning mask is perfect for damaged hair. Avocado is known for its myriad benefits on hair and hydrates the scalp which reduces the hair breakage.


1/2 Avocado

2 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

2 Tablespoon Honey


ü  Blend all the ingredients well.

ü  Apply the mask to damp hair from top to bottom.

ü  Cover and let it settle for good 30-45 minutes.

ü  Wash with a mild shampoo.

  1. Egg mask

Are you too tired of your oily scalp? Then egg and a lemon mask is the answer. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C while eggs are rich in proteins. This combination will moisturize your scalp and condition it from roots.



1 egg

½ lemon


ü  Use white part of the egg and add lemon to it.

ü  Mix them well until you achieve a smooth consistency.

ü  Apply to damp hair and cover with a shower cap.

ü  Let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse it off with a mild shampoo.

  1. Cinnamon and coconut mask

Indulge your hair in the goodness of coconut oil. This mask is pure magic for those who are constantly trying to grow their hair. It also cleanses the scalp and reduces dandruff.


1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil

1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon


ü  Mix coconut oil and cinnamon in a bowl.

ü  Divide your hair into parts and apply the mask gently with your fingers.

ü  Cover your hair with a shower cap.

ü  Wash it off with a regular shampoo.

  1. Banana mask

Are you someone who is constantly trying to get rid of those frizzy strands? Don’t worry, we have a hair mask for that too. All the ingredients present in the mask make your hair manageable and shiny.


1 Sliced Banana

2 Tablespoon of Plain Yogurt

1 Tablespoon of Honey


ü  Blend all the ingredients together.

ü  Apply the mixture to damp hair evenly.

ü  Tie your hair and rinse it off with a mild shampoo.
